Know Better Counselling

'Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.' - Maya Angelou

Our Services

Non-judgmental, emotionally safe and culturally sensitive counselling services for teens, adults, and seniors

We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are on the traditional lands, referred to as Treaty 6 Territory and the homeland of Metis Region #4. This land is home to many diverse groups of Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Inuit, and Métis. We also acknowledge that the City of Edmonton and all the people here are beneficiaries of Treaty No. 6. which encompasses the traditional territories of numerous western Canadian First Nations as well as the Métis people who have called these lands home since time immemorial.

We do not offer emergency services. If someone you know is in immediate danger please call 911.

If someone you know requires urgent crisis intervention, please call Access 24/7 at 780-424-2424.

"Welcome to the adventure of self-discovery and transformation! You're about to embark on an incredible journey that requires immense courage to look within and make changes in your life. Get ready to unleash your full potential and live your best life."

Wow, what an incredible journey it has been! For over 17 years, I have been working as a nurse, gaining invaluable experience in various fields of healthcare, including adult and geriatric acute in-patient psychiatry, surgery, and community health care. My Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, which I completed in 2013, has provided me with a comprehensive and holistic understanding of patient care. And now, I am thrilled to be pursuing my dream of becoming a Registered Psychologist having completed a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology.

My favourite way to spend my free time is travelling with my family and friends. I also enjoy knitting and watching some good shows or documentaries.

My approach to therapy

My therapy approach is centered on my clients' goals, providing a safe supportive environment for them to work through their concerns without judgment. I am committed to helping clients manifest change from within and approach accountability with gentle encouragement. With my experience in various psychological theories, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Grief Recovery, I am confident in my ability to provide effective, emotionally safe care. I prioritize creating boundaries and using a strength-based approach in all therapies, and I welcome feedback from clients to ensure quality counselling. If you believe we may be a good fit, please contact me for a free 15-minute virtual consultation.
